Your privacy and the quality of your care are my top priorities. By remaining selective with insurance partnerships, I ensure that your treatment is guided by your needs, not by the rigid requirements of a third-party company. This allows us to maintain total confidentiality and gives us the freedom to decide the pace and direction of our work together.


Out-of-Network Benefits

For all other insurance providers, I am considered an out-of-network provider. Many clients are surprised to learn they can still receive significant reimbursement for our sessions.

If you have out-of-network mental health benefits, I can provide you with a Superbill (a detailed monthly receipt) to submit to your insurance company. While I cannot guarantee reimbursement, many plans will cover a percentage of the session fee once your deductible is met.


 Next Steps: Verifying Your Benefits

To understand what your insurance may cover, I recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card before our first session. Because I do not communicate directly with insurance companies (aside from United Healthcare), all inquiries regarding your out-of-network benefits and reimbursements are your responsibility.

When you call, please mention that I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and ask the following questions:

  • Out-of-Network Coverage: "Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits for outpatient office visits?"
  • The Service Code: "What is the reimbursement rate for service code 90837 (53+ minute individual therapy)?"
  • The Deductible: "What is my out-of-network deductible? Has it been met for this year?"
  • Co-insurance: "After my deductible is met, what percentage of the session fee (co-insurance) will I be reimbursed for?"
  • Authorization: "Do I need prior authorization or a referral for these visits?"
  • Submission & Limits: "How do I submit a Superbill for reimbursement, and is there a limit on how many visits are covered per year?"


You can book an appointment by calling our office at 203-303-4988 or by visiting our website and filling out the appointment request form.


During your first visit, you will meet with one of our wellness practitioners to discuss your health concerns and goals. They will then recommend a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your wellness goals.


Please note that appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a $95.00 late cancellation fee. Appointments that are no call/no show will be charged the entire private pay appointment fee.
